This is IT - Officially.
Meteorologically (or scientifically) Spring is here. Look outside.
Spring for many is their favourite time of year. Like Autumn it brings with it a change. A passing that symbolises rebirth, new beginnings and an optimism of warmer times ahead.
Whilst we really enjoyed a successful Autumn Winter & Christmas season at Hall Street, honestly, Spring is now very welcome. This month see’s the new collections from all brands arrive instore so we hope to welcome you to take your first peeks at what is new. Our new partners, Carter Jonas, are reporting the lift in business as people begin to market properties all over South Suffolk and look forward to their respective new beginnings.
More good news is that this season we will have Hackett at both Hadleigh and Long Melford. Stock is due in middle of March. If I am honest, this is the collection I am most eager to get into stock too. For those of you not so familiar with their product, I look forward to taking you through the brand - it is really something we are proud to work with at Hall Street.
We also welcome Crew Clothing back to both stores in the next few weeks. If you hadn’t noticed we quietly launched Crew in Hadleigh back in the autumn, but we are really growing its presence this spring as this is a brand ideal for all those outdoor adventures as we emerge from hibernation.
Topically, rugby legends Eden Park arrives this month also. Did you spot England coach Eddie Jones sporting their kit in the post match interview after England beat Italy last weekend? An Australian who heads up an English team wearing clothing named after a stadium in New Zealand that is made in France. That’s international.
And of course, in a week we have our initial Spring Summer drop of the new GANT mens and WOMENS collections arriving, with lots more following over the next 4-6 weeks.
Many of you have had your introduction to the NEW Tech Prep range over the winter, but if you’ve missed it these shirts are designed with special features to help you feel dry, cool and on the move - and stay in your comfort zone. Here’s a short video that captures the essence of the message - (https://youtu.be/_9E4DcVd0-8 “”)
In coming weeks I will share images with you as the collections develop, meanwhile, as ever we look forward to seeing again instore very soon
here’s the scientific bit………(from the Met Office website)
Meteorological season Meteorological spring will begin on 01 March 2017 and ends on 31 May 2017.
The meteorological seasons consists of splitting the seasons into four periods made up of three months each. These seasons are split to coincide with our Gregorian calendar making it easier for meteorological observing and forecasting to compare seasonal and monthly statistics. By the meteorological calendar, spring starts on 1 March.
The seasons are defined as spring (March, April, May), summer (June, July, August), autumn (September, October, November) and winter (December, January, February).
